They relay reports, emergency services requests, and information. The ideal candidate is motivated, dependable, and can work well in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships are essential.

CULTURE OF SERVICE
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) manages the California state hospital system, which provides mental health services to patients admitted into DSH facilities. The department strives to provide effective treatment in a safe environment and in a fiscally responsible manner.
In fiscal year 2019-2020, the department served 9,211 patients and employed nearly 13,000 staff in a 24/7 hospital system. DSH has locations in Atascadero, Coalinga, Metropolitan, Napa, and Patton.
